Job summary

T. Baker Smith is seeking an IT Support Lead to strengthen support for engineering, surveying, and environmental teams.

You will report to the IT Support Manager, combining hands-on troubleshooting with daily service coordination and technical coaching. In this hands-on leadership position, you’ll guide the support team, manage complex CAD-related issues, and collaborate with the internal tech group and vendors.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IT support experience with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain technical problems clearly and coach teammates through diagnosis.
• Experience supporting multiple offices or CAD-intensive environments is valuable.
• Security-minded approach to everyday IT work, protecting firm and client information.

Responsibilities

• Keep the support queue moving by coordinating priorities, workload, and coverage.
• Lead on difficult workstation and CAD-related issues, deployments, configurations, and fixes.
• Help teammates develop troubleshooting skills and confidence.
• Turn recurring problems into documented fixes and repeatable improvements.
• Coordinate with internal technology teams and vendors while maintaining clear communication with associates.
