Job summary

T. Baker Smith, LLC. is seeking an IT Support Lead in Houston to strengthen our engineering, surveying, and environmental teams. You will report to the IT Support Manager, combining hands-on troubleshooting with daily service coordination and technical coaching.

You will lead on CAD-related problems, coordinate with vendors, and mentor teammates to improve diagnostics and resolution. Grow with a firm that values security, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Substantial hands-on IT support experience.
Ability to assess urgency and business impact.
Ability to explain technical problems clearly to non-technical audiences.
Experience coaching teammates and driving resolution.

Responsibilities

Coordinate priorities, workload, and coverage to keep the support queue moving.
Lead on difficult workstation and CAD-related problems including installations, conflicts, licensing, and break/fix incidents.
Help teammates develop troubleshooting skills and confidence.
Document fixes and implement practical improvements to recurring issues.
Coordinate with internal tech teams and vendors while communicating with associates.
