Job summary

T. Baker Smith is seeking an IT Support Lead to strengthen support for our engineering, surveying, and environmental teams.

Reporting to the IT Support Manager, you’ll blend hands-on troubleshooting with daily service coordination and technical coaching. You will lead complex workstation and CAD-related deployment issues, coach teammates, and document fixes to improve service reliability across multiple offices.

Qualifications

Substantial hands-on IT support experience with strong judgment on urgency and impact.
Ability to explain technical problems clearly and coach teammates through diagnosis.
Experience supporting multiple offices or CAD-intensive environments; security-minded approach.

Responsibilities

Coordinate priorities, workload, and coverage to keep the support queue moving efficiently.
Lead on complex workstation and CAD-related installation and deployment problems and prevent recurrence.
Coach teammates to improve troubleshooting skills and confidence in handling incidents.
Document fixes and practical improvements from recurring problems.
Coordinate with internal IT and vendors while communicating clearly with associates.
