Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Windsor, CT seeks an IT Support Engineer I to implement technical solutions and provide high-quality support across sites in a defined geographical area. You will troubleshoot hardware, OS, and enterprise software and determine when deviations from SOPs are required.

You will engage with management and staff to help continuously improve IT solutions, manage local technical projects, and help maintain policies and processes across our facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years professional IT experience.
• 2+ years troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment.
• 2+ years networking (DNS, DHCP, SSL, TCP/IP) experience.
• 2+ years PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment and liquidation experience.
• 1+ years IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
• Fluent in Cisco networking and either Linux and/or Microsoft.
• Possess and maintain a valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling and systems administration in various software/hardware environments.
• Ensuring infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
• Interacting with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
• Managing local technical projects.
• Maintaining or creating policies, procedures, and processes.
• Identifying root-causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
• Moving up to 49lbs and standing/walking during shifts up to 12 hours.
• Supporting customers from multiple buildings in the area, as well as remote customers.
• Traveling within local/regional area to support our customers.
