Job summary

Albemarle County Information Technology seeks a Support Services Manager to lead a team of Help Desk and Audio/Visual staff in Charlottesville, VA. You will oversee end-user hardware operation, deployment, security, and service delivery for the local government division.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting input, and the ability to coordinate across service desk, AV, and technical operations while upholding county policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Five or more years combined experience in IT management or senior IT Support Services.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience in an enterprise environment.
• Education may be substituted with experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Help Desk Analysts, IT staff and A/V Specialists.
• Plans and coordinates daily activities and deployment of new technology.
• Monitors budgets, KPIs, and project progress for the division.
• Ensures staff training, policy adherence and security practices.
• Maintains incident tracking, service desk operations and reporting.
