Job description

Provides comprehensive technical support and guidance to assigned programs within DLA Information Operations, Program Executive Office, in matters relating to information management issues involving a wide range of Information Technology (IT) management.

Supports planning, installation, configuration, testing, implementation, and management of the systems environment to support the organization’s IT architecture and business needs.

Oversees systems testing, coordinates documentation preparation, and represents the organization in matters related to assigned projects.

Provides occupational, technical, and analytical advice to staff.

Analyzes critical system requirements in response to business needs, risks, and costs.

Serves as an audit liaison between J6T and J62 Program Managers, working closely with other J/D Codes to ensure audit compliance for the Enterprise, and reports status to J6 Leadership.

Qualification Summary

To qualify as an IT Specialist (Operating Systems), candidates must have:

• One year of specialized experience directly related to the duties of the position.
• For GS-14 level, one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent.
• Experience in analyzing software/hardware proposals, preparing technical manuals, and conducting research in advanced computer applications.

$124,531-$185,234 per year
