Job summary

Papillion La Vista Community Schools in Papillion, Nebraska is seeking a Classified Information Technology Specialist I to join our Technology team. This full-time role provides day-to-day operational support and maintenance of the district's computer and data systems.

The Specialist will troubleshoot Macintosh, Windows and Chromebook devices and AV equipment. The position also supports the helpdesk by routing tickets, reporting hardware needs, and delivering end-user training, while assisting

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of desktop systems, databases, PCs, software applications and networking principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and prioritization skills.
• Must have own reliable transportation to drive to different district buildings.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support and maintenance of the district's computer and data systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain devices (Mac, Windows, Chromebook) and audiovisual equipment.
• Support helpdesk: assign, route and monitor tickets by software and phone.
• Report district hardware needs for students and staff.
• Develop and provide training and technical support to end-users.
• Install and troubleshoot network hardware and wiring across district buildings to maximize uptime.
