Job summary

UMBC's Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation seeks an IT Specialist to support admissions systems, data integrity, and process execution. Working with the Manager of Systems and Technology and the Associate Director, you will perform data uploads, corrections, report development, and validation, while supervising student workers to ensure governance, security, and continuity.

The role requires a Bachelor's in information systems or related field and at least one year of data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in information systems or related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience in data analysis, reporting, and responding to user inquiries related to system access and functionality.
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform bulk data uploads, data corrections, duplicate resolution, and account provisioning.
• Develop reports and validate data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in pre-production testing and peer review of changes.
• Maintain process documentation and support staff training.
• Supervise student workers, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to procedures and data governance.
