Job summary

The University of Dayton invites applications for an Associate IT Research Professional to join UDRI's IT Team in Dayton, OH. Build, support, troubleshoot, grow as part of a growing IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High School grad with 4 years relevant experience, or an associate degree with 2 years, or a Bachelor's and no previous experience
• Two years of expertise in a Windows desktop environment
• Must be able to work independently and have good customer interaction skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience in providing helpdesk functions
• CompTIA Security+ certification or the ability to obtain this certification within one year of employment
• Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen
• A valid driver's license and low risk driving record is required to be insurable by the University

Responsibilities

• Respond to IT helpdesk tickets for local and remote users
• Install software on Windows
• Configure employee workstation/laptop configuration
• Configure employee accounts / Active Directory
• Assist with hardware and software procurement and inventory management
• Perform basic system and user administration tasks for Windows Server
• Troubleshoot, assemble, repair and configure Intel based workstations, servers and peripheral equipment
