Job summary

Dayton-Phoenix Group, Inc. in Dayton, OH is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to install, repair, and support PC hardware/software and provide user training. This role supports users via ticketing system, remote and on-site, triages alerts, and assists with network and device management.

You will work with the Network Engineer and Systems Administrator, document processes, and help maintain inventory. A BS in computer discipline and relevant certs are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in a computer discipline and 2+ years’ related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and/or Microsoft EAA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first-line support for corporate computer and telephone users via a ticketing system.
• Provide training and troubleshooting to internal customers by email, phone, and in person.
• Monitor and triage alerts from EDR and security tools, escalating threats per procedures.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software on workstations, printers, and telephones.
• Perform maintenance, upgrades and repairs on computer hardware and software.
• Assemble, configure and deliver new and reused equipment.
• Maintain inventory and spare hardware stock.
• Coordinate with service vendors to schedule printer repairs.
• Maintain printer inventory and maintenance contracts.
