Job summary

The Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking an experienced Information Systems Specialist 5 (ISS5) - Project Coordinator to lead technology initiatives across the state. You will guide projects from concept through implementation, collaborating with customers, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver effective solutions.

Initial on-site work is required, with a potential transition to a hybrid schedule after the trial period.

Qualifications

• Four years of information systems experience in technical support.
• Associate degree in computer science or information technology, OR completion of a two-year accredited vocational program in information technology AND two years of information systems experience in technical support.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science may substitute for all of the above.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multiple IT projects from initiation through implementation.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, resources, budgets, and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues to ensure successful outcomes.
• Partner with customers, stakeholders, and technical teams to identify business needs and deliver technology solutions.
• Ensure projects comply with SDLC standards and quality assurance practices.
• Support business analysis, process improvement initiatives, and technology innovation efforts.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, procedures, status reports, and stakeholder communications.
