Job summary

Oregon Department of Corrections (ODOC) in Salem seeks an experienced Information Systems Specialist 5 – Project Coordinator to lead a portfolio of IT initiatives. You’ll guide projects from concept through implementation, partnering with customers, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver effective technology solutions.

You will ensure SDLC standards, manage risks, and maintain thorough documentation while supporting process improvements and innovation.

Qualifications

• Four years of information systems experience in technical support or an associate’s degree plus two years of IS experience.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for the above.
• Experience coordinating IT projects and leading teams is required.
• Ability to develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multiple IT projects from initiation through implementation.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, resources, budgets, and deliverables.
• Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues across projects.
• Partner with customers, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver solutions.
• Ensure SDLC compliance and quality assurance practices.
• Support business analysis, process improvement, and technology innovation.
• Develop and maintain project documentation and status reports.
• Provide leadership and coordination across multiple project teams.
