Job summary

The Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking an Information Systems Specialist 5 to keep automation systems secure, connected, and reliable across DOC networks. You will handle regional support while assisting other areas as needed.

Role focuses on incident resolution, documentation, and collaboration with end-users and technical teams to ensure daily operations for prisons, community corrections, and partner agencies. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Four years of information systems experience in technical support or an equivalent IT program.
• Associate degree in computer science or information technology OR completion of a two-year IT program with two years of tech support.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or CS may substitute for all qualifying items.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests and incidents.
• Resolve complex incidents and coordinate with end-users.
• Collaborate with technical teams to keep systems operational.
• Support regional operations and provide backup as needed.
