Job summary

The Oregon Department of Corrections seeks an experienced Information Systems Specialist 5 – Project Coordinator to lead and coordinate a portfolio of technology initiatives across the agency.

You will guide projects from concept through implementation, partner with customers, stakeholders, and technical teams, and ensure SDLC standards are followed.

On-site work is required in the first year with a potential transition to hybrid schedule after the trial; travel and CJIS requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Four+ years information systems experience in technical support
• Associate's degree in computer science or information technology or two-year vocational training in IT plus two years of IS experience
• Bachelor's degree in IT or CS may substitute for all of the above

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multiple IT projects from initiation through implementation.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, resources, budgets, and deliverables.
• Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues to ensure successful outcomes.
• Partner with customers, stakeholders, and technical teams to identify business needs and deliver technology solutions.
• Ensure projects comply with SDLC standards and QA practices.
• Support business analysis, process improvement, and technology innovation efforts.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, procedures, status reports, and stakeholder communications.
