Job summary

Bloedel Reserve is seeking an IT Manager to oversee IT operations, systems and infrastructure in support of the organization’s mission. You will balance hands-on delivery with strategic planning, roadmaps, budgets, and vendor management to enable business outcomes.

In this role you will lead security initiatives, manage device lifecycles, coordinate with leadership, and guide projects from conception through delivery, ensuring reliable, secure technology for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Daily maintenance and troubleshooting of IT systems.
• Provides regular user support including onboarding/offboarding, device setup and retirement, and ticket management.
• Collaborates with leadership to identify technology needs and requirements.
• Manages device management, software licenses, and installations.
• Creates and maintains a technology roadmap aligned with growth and strategic plans.
• Implements and manages security measures including policies, firewall, antivirus, and awareness training.
• Evaluates vendors and solutions, recommending options to leadership.
• Manages the IT budget and allocates resources for projects and operations.
• Balances funds for current operations, maintenance, and initiatives.
• Negotiates vendor contracts and ensures cost alignment with the budget.
• Manages full project lifecycle with scope, plans, resources, and progress monitoring.
• Sets and monitors SLAs for IT support and service availability.
• Performs risk assessments and implements disaster recovery plans.
• Maintains vendor relationships and performance reviews.
• Advises on long-term IT structure for CRM and database supporting Development and Operations.
• Supports Marketing & Communications with website issues and external vendor support as needed.
• Assists departments in developing long-term technology strategies and improvements.
