Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is seeking an IT Operations Supervisor to lead a multi-functional IT department, delivering process improvements, standardization, and strategic implementations across systems planning, networks, databases, and security.

The role requires collaboration with IT leadership, budget oversight, vendor management, and ongoing risk assessment to align technology with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five (5) years of progressive responsibility in an IT environment with demonstrated technical knowledge.
• One (1) year of management, supervisory or lead experience in IT.
• Experience within the insurance industry is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and manage risks associated with information systems, databases, platforms and networks; establish policies and procedures.
• Oversee infrastructure, applications, systems, desktops, and storage to ensure uptime and availability.
• Coordinate efforts of IT staff with other departments to maximize cooperation and efficiency.
• Participate in planning, development, and management of IT Operations.
