Job summary

Midland Industries is seeking a Manager of IT Operations to oversee the day-to-day health of our IT environment. You will drive stability, security, and operational excellence across infrastructure, applications, and support, leading budgeting, vendor management, and process improvement.

You will build transparency, tooling, and prioritization cadences to keep the team focused and effective, ensuring the right work receives the right attention at the right time.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of progressive IT experience with leadership of technical teams.
• Strong background in infrastructure, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), networking, and security operations.
• Experience with budgeting, vendor management, and contract oversight.
• Ability to balance hands-on problem solving with leadership responsibilities.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident management, problem resolution, and root‑cause analysis.
• Primary accountability for all run operations—ensuring IT services are available and supported.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability across technology platforms.
• Develop and improve IT service delivery standards, SLAs, KPIs, and playbooks.
• Manage escalated incidents and service disruptions with urgency and structured root-cause analysis.
• Review helpdesk triage, routing, and resolution within defined standards while balancing resources.
• Conduct regular operational reviews to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
