Job summary

Flatrock Manor is seeking an IT Operations Manager to own and evolve our technology ecosystem in Michigan. You will lead IT operations, optimize Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID), and drive reliability, security, and growth across the organization.

You will mentor IT staff, manage vendor relationships, own the IT budget, enforce policies, and communicate IT initiatives to executives, fostering a service-first culture while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years in IT operations or systems administration.
• 2+ years in a leadership or senior-level role.
• Python coding and Power BI experience required.
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration and security expertise.
• Proven vendor management and IT project leadership.
• Solid cybersecurity best practices knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve IT operations and roadmap for the organization.
• Oversee and optimize Microsoft 365 environment (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID).
• Mentor IT staff and build a scalable team.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
• Champion cybersecurity best practices (MFA, endpoint protection, monitoring).
• Manage vendor relationships (internet, telecom, software providers).
• Oversee onboarding/offboarding and access management processes.
• Monitor system performance, ensuring uptime, reliability, and efficiency.
• Own the IT budget, forecasting and cost optimization.
• Lead technology projects and continuous system improvements.
• Ensure regulatory and organizational compliance.
• Maintain documentation of systems and processes.
• Act as escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Communicate IT initiatives and performance to executives.
• Foster a positive, service-first IT culture.
