Job summary

Ledgent Technology seeks an experienced IT Operations Supervisor to guide day-to-day IT support in a municipal environment. This player-coach role blends hands-on troubleshooting with leadership, supervising the Service Desk and serving as a senior escalation point.

The ideal candidate has broad Microsoft, networking, cloud, endpoint management, and cybersecurity experience, plus a track record in supervising IT staff and delivering projects across departments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on IT experience in enterprise environments including infrastructure, networking, applications, and end-user technologies.
• Strong leadership and staff development experience.
• Experience supervising IT Service Desk or IT support operations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise IT Service Desk and support staff, assign work, train, and develop the team.
• Serve as a senior escalation resource for complex hardware, software, network, system, and application issues.
• Support and maintain Windows-based enterprise environments (Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online).
• Assist with administration of virtual/server/cloud/identity/endpoint networks and cybersecurity environments.
• Provide oversight for desktop support, hardware/software maintenance, and end-user computing.
• Lead technology projects across departments, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Participate in incident response for outages and cybersecurity events.
• Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and technical standards.
