Job summary

The Park District of Highland Park is seeking an IT Operations Manager to ensure reliable end-user technology and oversee strategic tech projects. You will coordinate with our MSP, drive standard processes, and manage budgets and vendor relationships.

This is a non-technical, service-focused role reporting to the Director of Planning, Projects and IT. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in project management, multi-tasking, and stakeholder communication, with experience in managed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS or related field.
• Minimum seven years' experience or equivalent mix of education/experience in IT management.
• Experience with helpdesk/workflow processes and project management.
• Knowledge of workplace technology standards and working with MSPs.

Responsibilities

• Manage liaison with IT MSP and participate in service reviews and planning.
• Drive standard processes, roll out tools, and ensure consistent technology use.
• Own IT support experience, monitor helpdesk activity and issue resolution.
• Lead technology improvement projects with internal staff and contractors.
• Plan, purchase and maintain technology assets and budgets across the district.
• Define hardware/software standards with stakeholders and ensure security compliance.
• Coordinate vendor work and manage accounts; communicate with executives and staff.
