Job summary

Wimmer Communities is seeking an IT Manager to lead desktop and help desk support, overseeing Microsoft 365 and a broad range of technology solutions.

The role involves supervising IT operations across properties, coordinating with vendors, and supporting security, backups, and data protection, with occasional onsite support at residences. A strong leadership mindset and customer-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology preferred.
• 7+ years of Information Systems experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft operating systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of PC operating systems, networking, printing, and application support.
• Strong critical-thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective and professional communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and strategic thinking.
• Strong commitment to customer service, ownership, and timely issue resolution.
• Ability to identify and recommend technology solutions that support digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead desktop and help desk support, ensuring timely resolution of technology issues.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365, including users, groups, permissions, policies, printing, updates, and alerts.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and application issues; prioritize incidents and document resolutions.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, mobile devices, network equipment, printers, scanners, TVs, and other peripherals.
• Monitor systems and respond promptly to security, performance, and usability concerns.
• Support cybersecurity, fraud prevention, backups, and data-protection processes.
• Maintain surveillance cameras, video conferencing, phone systems, and door-entry systems, including DoorKing, ButterflyMX, and Amazon Key.
• Manage IT hardware, software, and equipment assets.
• Coordinate with vendors and coworkers to resolve technology issues.
• Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions for new or upgraded systems.
• Develop and maintain IT procedures, standards, and documentation.
• Integrate technology into new construction projects.
• Partner with owners to address IT needs, including occasional onsite support at personal residences.
