Job summary

Wimmer Communities seeks an IT Manager to lead technology support across our properties and organization. This hands-on role focuses on improving IT solutions, cybersecurity, backups, and data protection while supporting a collaborative, family‑oriented culture. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Full time, with a flexible hybrid setup and local travel between properties as needed. Responsibilities include managing devices, networks, and IT infrastructure, and partnering with owners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology preferred.
• 7+ years of Information Systems experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft operating systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of PC operating systems, networking, printing, and application support.
• Strong critical-thinking, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective and professional communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and strategic thinking.
• Strong commitment to customer service, ownership, and timely issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Lead desktop and help desk support, ensuring timely resolution of technology issues.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365, including users, groups, permissions, policies, printing, updates, and alerts.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and application issues; prioritize incidents and document resolutions.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, mobile devices, network equipment, printers, scanners, TVs, and other peripherals.
• Monitor systems and respond promptly to security, performance, and usability concerns.
• Support cybersecurity, fraud prevention, backups, and data‑protection processes.
• Maintain surveillance cameras, video conferencing, phone systems, and door‑entry systems, including DoorKing, ButterflyMX, and Amazon Key.
• Manage IT hardware, software, and equipment assets.
• Coordinate with vendors and coworkers to resolve technology issues.
• Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions for new or upgraded systems.
• Develop and maintain IT procedures, standards, and documentation.
• Integrate technology into new construction projects.
• Partner with owners to address IT needs, including occasional onsite support at personal residences.

Schedule

• Firewalls: Fortinet or equivalent
• Networking: HP Aruba, InstantOn, or Ubiquiti
• VoIP systems: Zoom, Cisco, or Teams
• Ticketing platforms: Jira, Zendesk, or Freshworks
