Job summary

Eastern Shore Community College is seeking an Information Technology Instructional Support Specialist to assist the IT Office in planning and delivering technology services for students, faculty, and staff.

The role covers procurement, asset management, network administration, security, and project coordination, with a Monday–Friday schedule, and occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, workstations, cloud-based systems, and related services.
• Working knowledge of cloud-based productivity and collaboration systems, LMS, and video conferencing technologies.
• Abilities to analyze problems, troubleshoot, and provide effective guidance to faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, review, and implementation of the college’s annual technology planning documents.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend IT goods and services to support technology needs.
• Track and maintain records for equipment and software licenses (asset management).
• Support college network infrastructure, servers, desktop computers, and related services (client-side support).
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to faculty, staff, and students, including remote assistance.
• Coordinate with Information Security Shared Services and other technology partners as needed.
