Job summary

Brose New Boston, Inc. is seeking a student through an IT support role in New Boston, Michigan. The position focuses on first-level end-user support for hardware, software, Office 365, mobile devices, and connectivity issues, with hands-on configuration of PCs, tablets, printers, and devices.

You will assist with service catalog requests, basic network troubleshooting, asset inventory via BITS, and maintaining IT documentation while supporting OS upgrades and Windows 11 migration projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• Approximately two years remaining before graduation preferred.
• Basic networking concepts knowledge (IP addressing, connectivity).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level IT support to end users for hardware, software, Microsoft Office 365, mobile devices and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure and support end-user devices including PCs, smartphones, tablets and printers.
• Support users with IT requests and incidents within the Brose Service Catalog.
• Assist with basic network and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory records using BITS.
• Update and maintain IT documentation.
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate when necessary.
• Support hardware deployment and OS upgrades.
• Gain exposure to network/VLAN segmentation and plant IT infrastructure.
• Support IT projects including Windows 11 migration, wireless access point replacement, and device upgrades.
