Job summary

Enid Public Schools is seeking a Computer Technician I to support the district's 1-to-1 device program, provide frontline HelpDesk triage, and assist with hardware/software troubleshooting across multiple school sites.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with IT training; 1–3 years in IT HelpDesk is preferred, along with flexibility for overtime and travel between campuses. The position reports to the Director of IT.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree/technical training in IT preferred.
  • 1–3 years of IT HelpDesk or hands-on IT support experience.
  • Certifications like CompTIA A+, MCSA, or Google IT Support are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • 1-to-1 program support: deploy and maintain district devices and peripherals.
  • Staff the HelpDesk and resolve staff/students tickets promptly.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain district workstation hardware and software.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot desktop applications while respecting software licenses.
  • Perform routine hardware maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Provide end-user and on-site support across district facilities.
  • Maintain detailed service records and asset management in the ticketing system.
  • Adapt to shifting scope and perform other duties as assigned.
