Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician for our Fort Wayne, IN site. As the first point of contact for employees and customers, you will triage, troubleshoot, and resolve common IT issues, and manage support tickets to keep operations running smoothly.

You will work closely with teams across networking, systems administration, security, and application support, gaining exposure to a wide range of technologies while advancing your IT career in a collaborative environment.

• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments.

• Strong documentation and organizational abilities.
• Ability to follow security, privacy, and compliance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming IT support requests.
• Provide Tier 1 technical support for Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
• Handle password resets and account lockouts; MFA support.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting, VPN support, and device resets.
• Document issues, steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Triage and elevate tickets to appropriate technical teams when needed.
• Monitor ticket queues to ensure timely assignment and closure.
• Provide walk-up support for local users.
• Maintain internal knowledge base and assist with inventory tasks.
