Job summary

Jobtailor is hiring for an IT Systems Administrator in Tennessee. The role focuses on maintaining IT infrastructure for day-to-day manufacturing operations, handling Citrix, Microsoft Exchange, and network services, and ensuring disaster recovery readiness.

• Experience as a System/Network Administrator or similar role.
• Knowledge of Windows AD networks, wired/wireless/remote clients.
• Familiarity with data backup/recovery systems and ISO 27001 practices.
• Ability to script in PowerShell and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; able to travel quarterly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support IT infrastructure for day-to-day manufacturing operations.

Job description

• Maintain and support IT infrastructure and services for day-to-day manufacturing operations
• Maintain and coordinate upgrades of Citrix, Microsoft Exchange, network services and hardware, shop-floor systems, and third-party platforms
• Support hosted services and network monitoring and management across all facilities
• Design and architect networks
• Perform disaster recovery, LAN/WAN monitoring and troubleshooting, and documentation/recordkeeping
• Support and configure routers, switches, firewalls, VPN concentrators, VoIP services, and other network equipment
• Troubleshoot issues and outages
• Evaluate and maintain network performance and services
• Support Tier I helpdesk as needed
• Perform problem-solving tasks triggered by users or monitoring systems
• Execute complex analysis and resolution of system issues
• Administer Microsoft Exchange, Citrix, and other production-facing technologies
• Maintain, configure, and ensure reliable operation of computer systems, network services, Active Directory, and VoIP services
• Install and support network components
• Manage, maintain, and test backup and recovery services
• Apply ISO 27001 standards and practices to job responsibilities
• Travel to other facilities quarterly as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or 10+ years of work experience
• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role
• Knowledge of Windows AD networks with wired, wireless, thin, fat, and remote clients
• Knowledge of commonly used IT concepts, practices, and procedures
• Knowledge of data backup/recovery systems
• Ability to create scripts in PowerShell
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication skills with production employees and corporate managers
• Team oriented, willing to contribute and learn
• Ability to work under general supervision in a dynamic environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Customer service approach with strong organizational skills
• ERP experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift 50lbs with or without accommodations
• General understanding of ISO 27001 standards and application practices
• Willingness/ability to travel to other facilities on a quarterly basis

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 4:30 pm; some days may require staying until project completion
• 40+ hours per week
