Eddy County is seeking an Information Technology Specialist I to provide comprehensive Help Desk support for computers, email, Internet access, applications, printers, copiers, scanning devices, phones, and AV equipment. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues and ensure reliable operation across Eddy County’s diverse network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience with computer systems troubleshooting.
• Four years of experience with Windows platforms.
• Valid NM driver’s license and insurable; no DWI convictions; no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide Help Desk support for computers, email, Internet, applications, printers, copiers, scanning, phones, and audio/visual equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and resolve user problems efficiently.
• Maintain computers and peripheral equipment on Eddy County’s network.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of information.
