Job summary

Eddy County seeks an Information Technology Specialist I to provide Help Desk support for computers, email, Internet, applications, printers, copiers, scanning services, phones and AV equipment. The role requires troubleshooting and problem-solving to maintain Eddy County’s computer network.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, two years of troubleshooting experience, four years on Windows, and a valid New Mexico driver’s license with clean driving history.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience with computer systems troubleshooting.
• Four years of experience with Windows platforms.
• Valid NM driver’s license and be insurable, with no DWI convictions and no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide Help Desk support for computers, email, Internet access, applications, printers, copiers, scanning services, phones, audio/visual equipment, and other computer hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
• Maintain computers and peripheral equipment connected to Eddy County’s network.
• Keep confidential all secured and sensitive information.
• May be required to work irregular hours, respond to callback requests, and attend trainings.
