Job summary

HICO America, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking an IT Engineer to provide end-user support and PC network maintenance for the Canonsburg facility. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, document issues, and collaborate with the IT team on upgrades and asset management.

The role requires strong communication, familiarity with MS Office 365/Teams, and the ability to support programming tasks (Vue.js frontend, C# REST API, MSSQL queries).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Knowledge of PC repair, configuration, networking, Windows, MS Office, and related OS platforms.
• Working knowledge of firewall applications.
• Preferred certifications: A+ or MCIPT; CCNA.
• Advanced knowledge of PC applications and MS Office 365 products/Teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and lift/move equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support for local and remote users, resolving hardware/software issues.
• Document all user problems in help desk software.
• Collaborate with IT team to resolve problems and implement upgrades.
• Assist with product upgrades and new implementations.
• Maintain and inventory IT equipment; coordinate lease returns.
• Provide user training to enhance productivity.
• Administer data backup programs and monitor security practices.
• Monitor and manage telephone system and related changes.
• Support Division Controller and Corporate IT as needed.
• Promote professional image of the IT Department when interacting with others.
• Support frontend Vue.js and backend C# REST API work, MSSQL queries.
