UAH College of Business seeks a Desktop Support Technician I to provide end-user support across departments in Alabama. This associate-level role emphasizes attention to detail, problem solving, clear communication, and prioritizing work in a fast-paced IT office.

You will configure devices, manage operating systems, support Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and collaborate with OIT teammates and student staff to maintain secure, reliable technology services.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and at least 2 years of full-time IT experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience diagnosing hardware, software, and basic network issues (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Office 365, Google Workspace).
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, ConfigMgr, and Entra ID/Active Directory.

Responsabilités

• Provide end-user desktop support across departments.
• Troubleshoot desktop hardware, software, and network issues and escalate when needed.
• Assist with device configuration, OS/software updates, and asset management.
• Support core applications (Office 365, Google Workspace, Adobe, etc.).
• Document all support activities in the ticketing system and communicate with users.
• Collaborate with OIT and student workers to ensure timely resolution of incidents.
