Job summary

A local enterprise company in Grand Rapids is seeking entry-level Desktop Support associates to join their IT team. This role allows candidates with minimal experience to grow their skills in IT support within a thriving company. Qualifications

One of TEKsystems' clients is looking for multiple qualified candidates to support their IT department's Desktop Support team.

This is a great opportunity for someone to get their foot in the door with a local enterprise company. It also offers a chance to grow skills within IT Support and advance careers within IT. They are currently looking for individuals eager to grow within their company.

Previous Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or PC Technician experience is preferred. IT certifications are desirable for this role. This will be a first-shift opportunity on a Contract to Hire basis.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and various software applications
  • Swap out laptops/desktops and deploy Windows 10/11
  • Re-image Windows 11 onto machines from Windows 10
  • Assist users with logged IT-related incidents
  • Take ownership of issues by analyzing problems and implementing fixes, escalating when necessary
  • Accurately record, update, and document requests using the IT service desk system
  • Install and configure new IT equipment
  • Resolve incidents and upgrade software and hardware
  • Resolve issues with printers, copiers, and scanners
  • Maintain high customer service standards

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range is $16.00 - $22.00/hr, negotiable based on experience.
