Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician - IT Cooling to perform on-site service, start-ups, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT cooling and electro-mechanical equipment at customer sites.

You will diagnose refrigeration and electrical/control systems, carry out repairs, and support internal teams and partners while maintaining detailed records and participating in on-call schedules.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HVAC, Electrical, Electronics, or a related field with 2–5 years of troubleshooting/repair experience.
• EPA Section 608 certification is required.
• Proficiency with mechanical/electronic test equipment and reading schematics/blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required for travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site start-up services, preventive and remedial maintenance, field modifications and testing of IT Cooling equipment.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration and electro-mechanical systems; perform repairs or component replacements as needed.
• Perform refrigerant tasks: leak detection, reclamation, evacuation and charging of R410A systems.
• Diagnose HVAC electrical/control systems to restore functionality.
• Provide technical support to customers, field teams and partners.
• Inspect returned equipment to determine defects and readiness for operation.
• Participate in on-call emergency field support as needed.
• Maintain detailed service visit records, repairs and installations.
• Collaborate on projects involving power equipment installations.
