Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is seeking a Client Support Specialist I to provide direct hardware, software, and networking support for faculty, staff, and students. The role includes imaging, lease-cycle hardware refresh, and handling service requests within a structured support model.

The position emphasizes customer-focused service, adherence to university policies, and appropriate use of AI-assisted tools.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ year installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
1+ year scripting languages OR programming knowledge.
1+ year troubleshooting networking tech and TCP/IP/Bluetooth/802.11.
1+ year administering multiple OS platforms (DOS, Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android, UNIX).
1+ year large-scale imaging experience.
1+ year maintaining systems in an Active Directory environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support for computer hardware, software, and related technologies.
Refresh leased campus computers as part of the lease cycle.
Own service requests within a designated area and coordinate with senior staff as needed.
Participate in remote support activities using remote tools to resolve service requests.
Deliver timely and effective solutions while adhering to university policies and security standards.
