Job summary

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is seeking an Information Security Analyst I to protect SIUE’s systems, data, and people. The role reports to the CISO and supports risk mitigation, policy development, and security monitoring across ITS operations.

The position requires a high school diploma and 2+ years in IT/security; preferred is a CS/IT bachelor’s degree and experience with threat intel and security tooling. Civil service employment and pre-employment screening apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years IT-related experience or college coursework in IT/related fields.
• Experience in information security domains including risk management, asset security, security engineering, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Stay up-to-date on threat intelligence to help anticipate security perimeter breaches.
• Provide Tier 1/2 support for security operations; document findings and monitor security systems.
