Job summary

Wilton Re Ltd. in Norwalk, CT, seeks an IT Business Analyst Intern for the 2027 summer program with a 10–12 week schedule. The role combines data analytics, requirements gathering, and testing across data, reporting, and AI-enabled processes.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, receive mentorship, and connect with senior leaders while contributing to active Wilton Re projects. Hybrid work and real project exposure ensure practical learning and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior in a 4-year university.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Analytics, Data Analytics/Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Ability to work full-time beginning of June to mid-August.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Introductory SQL knowledge and comfort using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Exposure to Power BI or similar reporting tools, agile concepts, or Jira/Azure DevOps is helpful but not required.
• Interest in learning how IT supports insurance or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mappings for data, reporting, and analytics enhancements.
• Support business process improvements and analysis using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and AI agents.
• Assist with build out and management of Microsoft Fabric tools, including testing out latest functionality.
• Help prepare and execute test cases, including regression and user acceptance testing; document defects, support retesting, and compare results with requirements under guidance.
• Support milestones and dependency tracking, status updates, and delivery documentation; suggest process improvements.

Program Overview

Wilton Re’s Norwalk based internship program is 10-12weeks, fast-paced, and an exciting opportunity to gain professional experiencewithin your field of study or career interest. Interns will be part of an accelerated learning experience,to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills whileworking on active Wilton Re projects. In addition, interns will connect to ourcompany culture through community outreach projects and be able to developtheir professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure tosenior leadership, unique projects, and a network of mentors and fellowinterns.

Base salary/hourly rate range for thisposition in Connecticut is between $20.00 and $30.00 an hour.
