Wilton Re in Norwalk, CT seeks an Accounting/Finance Intern for a 10–12 week summer internship. The program offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to senior leaders through project work and community outreach.

You will support spreadsheet controls, BEA reporting, and quarterly close activities while developing professional skills and business acumen in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Intermediate Excel experience.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Application of spreadsheet controls framework.
• Annual spreadsheet controls risk assessment roll-forward process.
• Updating of workpapers with new spreadsheet control framework requirements.
• Assist with the preparation of certain quarterly financial reporting workpapers.
• Assist with balance sheet tie outs, controls, letter of credit analysis.
• Leverage technical experience learned to build macros to automate reporting.
• Assist with work papers that help illustrate risk for ceding co audits.
• Assist with BEA reporting - running reports from DataMart, inputting results into filing system.
• Assist with preparation of journal entries for the financial reporting quarter end close.

We are searching for an experienced Accounting/ Finance Intern - 2027 Summer Intern at our Connecticut office.

Program Overview

Wilton Re's Norwalk based internship program is 10-12weeks, fast-paced, and an exciting opportunity to gain professional experiencewithin your field of study or career interest. Interns will be part of an accelerated learning experience,to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills whileworking on active Wilton Re projects. In addition, interns will connect to ourcompany culture through community outreach projects and be able to developtheir professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure tosenior leadership, unique projects, and a network of mentors and fellowinterns.

Location

Norwalk, CT Hybrid format with 3 days in-person and 2 days from home Base salary/hourly rate range for thisposition in Connecticut is between $20.00 and $30.00 an hour.
