Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a part-time Student Information Systems & AV Services assistant at Fairmont State University.   • Provide customer service and support to faculty, staff, students, and guests during campus events
  • Ensure that complex technical issues are referred to appropriate full-time staff
  • Maintain inventory of technology and audio/visual equipment
  • Organize storage areas and ensure equipment is properly stored and secured
  • Perform basic equipment inspections and report damaged or missing items to full-time staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Job description

Responsibilities

Student will assist the Information Systems and Audio/Visual Services team with campus event support, equipment setup, inventorymanagement, and general logistics for technology and multimediaresources across Fairmont State University. This position provideshands-on experience with event technology, equipment management,and customer service while supporting university operations.

  • Assist with the transport, setup, operation, and teardown ofaudio/visual equipment, including projectors, displays, soundsystems, and computers
  • Provide customer service and support to faculty, staff,students, and guests during campus events
  • Ensure that complex technical issues are referred toappropriate full-time staff
  • Maintain inventory of technology and audio/visualequipment
  • Organize storage areas and ensure equipment is properly storedand secured
  • Perform basic equipment inspections and report damaged ormissing items to full-time staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Student will work approximately 15-20 hours per week. Hours willprimarily be daytime shifts but may include early mornings,evenings, and weekends based on event schedules and universityneeds.

Compensation and Schedule

Base Hourly Rate: 10.00-13.00

Student Appointment Length: Academic Year

Hours: Approximately 15-20 hours per week, primarily daytime but may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
