Kids for the Future is seeking a Student Worker to provide audiovisual support for university events under the Event Technology Manager. You will set up, operate, and strike equipment, assist with lighting and video tasks, and collaborate with various departments.
The role is part-time and paid, requiring 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate is a current ACU student with reliable communication and organizational skills and a willingness to uphold the university's mission.
Under direct supervision of the Event Technology Manager, the Student Worker Event Technology will provide audiovisual support for all university events. This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person to person mentorship and discipleship.
Set up, operate, and strike assigned events by the Event Technology Manager.
Clean, organize, and maintain all audiovisual equipment.
Build strong working relationships and work collaboratively with all University departments, including Engagement, Enrollment, Athletics, Events, Academics, and Student Development
Completing other duties and tasks with utmost integrity and professionalism, as directed, and not necessarily mentioned in this description, will be expected.
Commitment to the University’s faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith.
Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff.
The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings.
Candidates will need to demonstrate expertise in the following technical areas:
Audio Systems (Digital and Analogue)
Video Systems (Live Video, Video Production)
General Lighting/LED Walls/Video Projection and other production elements and technology.
Staging and other General Production Knowledge
High attention to detail and accuracy; highly organized.
Ability to effectively communicate with others and to work harmoniously with related personnel.
Strong, persuasive, and accurate communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willingness to work independently in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines for student outreach and student activities.
Professional, energetic, positive attitude, self motivated, resourceful, and persistent with careful attention to detail.
Sincere and confident phone presence. Exceptional written and verbal communication.

20 hours max per week
This position is part-time, non-exempt from overtime as provided by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and any applicable state laws.
