Job summary

Forsyth County Management Information Services is seeking an IT Assistant Team Lead to work with the Applied Technologies Team, delivering technological solutions across public sector environments.

The role blends technical and managerial responsibilities, including endpoint management, asset management, project oversight, and team leadership to ensure scalable and secure computing environments.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college with a degree in computer science and 4 years of experience in PC, networking, and large systems, at least two of which must be in software systems analysis on the same or similar equipment.
• A four-year degree outside of the relevant academic field plus additional years of relevant experience may also be considered.
• A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day management of a team of highly skilled technologists with the goal of providing a stable, scalable, and flexible personal computing environment.
• Implement and maintain end point technology in an effort to standardize and provide cross-platform and multi-user solutions in a cost-effective manner.
• Implement, maintain, and enhance collaboration based on end user communications, and presence technologies.
• Establish and maintain standard operating system builds and standard methodologies for technical delivery, implementation, and operational support systems.
• Assist in management of teams of resources to design, integrate and implement advanced end-user computing environments.
• Build employee knowledge and skills in specific areas of expertise.
• Assist the Technology Manager in establishing and maintaining the required 3rd party support and service contracts for hardware and software solutions.
• Assist in preparation and presentation the required and requested technical reports to management.
• Communicate overall goals and principles of organization and promote a friendly and progressive working environment.
