Job summary

The City of Woodstock IT Department seeks an Information Technology Manager to lead and coordinate a small but critical team. You will assist the IT Director in planning, organizing, and supervising daily operations, ensuring reliable systems, security, and project delivery.

Responsibilities include managing part-time and seasonal staff, overseeing Microsoft 365, AD/Entra ID, networking, virtualization, and cloud services, and guiding strategic initiatives within a public sector environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, MIS, Cybersecurity, or related field with at least three years of progressively responsible IT experience including supervisory responsibilities, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
• Professional customer service and technical support experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Information Technology Director in planning, implementing, and maintaining the City's technology infrastructure and strategic technology initiatives.
• Manages the administration, maintenance, and security of servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.
• Oversee the daily activities and responsibilities of part‑time Information Technology Department staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, training, and mentoring.
• Oversee the City's Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), licensing, and related cloud technologies.
