Job summary

GTT is seeking an IT Asset Management Specialist to oversee end-to-end lifecycle management of technology assets across the agency, ensuring proper receipt, tagging, tracking, maintenance, auditing, and disposal in alignment with state policies and internal controls.

You will collaborate with IT, procurement, finance, security, and operations to ensure asset accountability, compliance, and financial stewardship throughout the asset lifecycle, requiring accuracy and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in IT asset management, inventory control, logistics, procurement, or related operational role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Knowledge of IT hardware, including computers, peripherals, networking equipment, mobile devices, and related technologies.
• Experience with asset tagging, inventory management systems, and barcode/RFID technologies.
• Understanding of chain-of-custody protocols and audit-ready documentation.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming IT equipment, verify shipment accuracy, and document all received assets.
• Assign and apply asset tags, ensuring proper identification and classification of all hardware.
• Maintain detailed inventory records within the asset management system, including location, status, ownership, and lifecycle information.
• Track movement of equipment through chain-of-possession procedures.
• Conduct periodic physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies; prepare audit documentation and reports.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
