Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an IT Asset Management Specialist to safeguard and manage technology assets through their lifecycle. You will control access to secured inventory, validate approvals, and maintain accurate records while coordinating deployment, recovery, and disposal activities.

The role emphasizes rigorous documentation, chain-of-custody discipline, and cross-functional collaboration with employees, vendors, and technical teams. It is primarily asset management and logistics focused.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of IT asset management or inventory control experience.
• Experience maintaining detailed records in asset management systems.
• Familiarity with computers, printers, mobile devices, and software licensing.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple requests.
• Excellent communication with employees, vendors, and technical teams.
• Ability to follow security and data-handling procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with asset management tools like KACE, ServicePRO, or Jira.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or IT Asset Management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain custody and control of secured technology inventory.
• Record asset data and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate deployment, recovery, refresh, repair, and disposal.
• Monitor licenses, warranties, and end-of-life dates.
• Provide timely reports on inventory, aging, and lifecycle.
• Escalate and route issues to the Help Desk when needed.
• Support device refresh programs.
• Keep stakeholders informed of shipment status and delays.
