Job summary

TPI Global Solutions in Montgomery, Alabama seeks an IT Asset Management Specialist to oversee end-to-end lifecycle management of agency technology assets, ensuring accurate receiving, tagging, tracking, and disposal in line with state policies.

The role supports inventory accuracy, compliance, and financial stewardship across IT resources, coordinating with procurement, security, and IT operations to maintain audit-ready records and efficient asset flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT asset management, inventory control, logistics, procurement, or related operational role.
• Experience with asset management systems and reporting to support audits and compliance.
• Familiarity with IT hardware, RFID/barcode tagging technologies, and asset lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming IT equipment, verify shipment accuracy, and document all assets.
• Apply asset tags and classify hardware for accurate inventory.
• Maintain detailed inventory records in the asset management system, including location and ownership.
• Track movement of equipment through chain-of-custody procedures.
• Conduct periodic physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Prepare audit documentation and compliance records for internal/external audits.
• Support asset lifecycle activities including deployment, transfers, repairs, returns, surplus processing, and disposal.
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, security, and IT operations to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in developing and improving asset management policies and procedures.
