Job summary

The Fire Department, City of New York (FDNY) is seeking a full-time Supervisor of Stock Workers to manage IT asset inventory, storage, and distribution across headquarters and field locations.

The role requires strong warehouse operations knowledge, supervisory experience, and proficiency in Excel; OSHA forklift certification and a NY driver’s license are preferred.

Residency rules apply; city employees may be eligible for the 55-a Program where noted.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience in storekeeping, including supervisory duties.
• At least one year in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience supervising large warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving and distribution.
• OSHA forklift certification and NYS driver's license required; good organizational and communication skills; proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IT asset inventory, storage, tracking, and distribution across FDNY locations.
• Maintain accuracy of asset records with asset-tracking system.
• Coordinate physical inventories and audits; reconcile discrepancies.
• Provide guidance to staff and prepare inventory reports.
