Job summary

Versant Power in Bangor, Maine, is seeking an IT Analyst I to provide technology support, triage, configuration, testing, and maintenance for assigned applications. This entry-level role reports to the Manager, Business Application Support and will work within the Operations Center.

The position is an in-state remote role with occasional travel and a requirement for a valid driver’s license. It offers exposure to customer information systems and ongoing training opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• AS in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a client-focused IT support role preferred.
• Exposure to testing methodologies required.
• Strong customer service ethics and the ability to work independently or in teams.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Exposure to utility application systems, billing systems and/or electrical infrastructure and design preferred.
• Position requires a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintains all operational processing as prescribed by the respective application business areas.
• Supports development and testing of new applications and upgrades.
• Provide secondary testing and documentation for proposed solutions.
• Aids internal customers by providing data analyses and problem resolution.
• Research and recreate system issues submitted by internal customers.
