Job summary
Amcor is seeking an experienced Process and Tooling Engineer to lead blow molding tooling, process development, validation, and qualification across manufacturing operations. You will manage projects from concept to implementation and provide technical leadership in mold design, tooling specs, and process improvements.
The role interfaces with Product Development, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, and vendors to ensure safety, quality, and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing/Plastics or related engineering discipline is required.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in plastics packaging manufacturing or process engineering.
- Experience with Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) tooling and vendors is required.
- Experience with mold qualification, validation, process optimization, and troubleshooting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead all mold sampling, process qualification, and validation activities for new, replacement, and rebuilt molds.
- Optimize molding processes to meet dimensional, visual, and performance specs at designed cycle times.
- Develop engineering standards and documentation; support process improvements and training across facilities.
