Job summary

Mac5 Construction is hiring a hands-on Construction Recruiter to support full-cycle recruiting across the commercial construction space. This is an onsite role in Irvine, CA, focused on building proactive talent pipelines and partnering closely with hiring managers and operations leaders.

You will own recruiting end-to-end, from sourcing through offer acceptance, with an emphasis on identifying strong passive candidates and sustaining long-term pipelines for hard-to-fill construction roles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recruiting experience.
• Strong recruiting experience in commercial construction.
• Mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, MEP recruiting experience strongly preferred.
• Proven success recruiting Project Managers, Project Engineers, Estimators, Engineers, Superintendents.
• Strong experience sourcing passive candidates.
• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, ATS platforms.
• Experience building or improving ATS workflows and recruiting processes.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable approaching candidates directly and building relationships.

Responsibilities

• Own the recruiting process from initial search through accepted offer, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer management, and follow-up.
• Actively recruit candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, industry networks, referrals, competitor research, resume databases, professional organizations, and direct outreach.
• Develop and maintain long-term pipelines for difficult-to-fill roles.
• Map the talent market continuously and identify high-performing professionals within construction disciplines.
• Support the creation, organization, and maintenance of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recruiting processes.
• Build scalable recruiting infrastructure, including candidate database organization, recruiting workflows, candidate stages and disposition tracking, talent pools, recruiting templates, interview processes, recruiting metrics and reporting, pipeline reporting, source-of-hire tracking, and candidate follow-up systems.
• Partner directly with operations leaders and hiring managers to understand needs beyond job descriptions.
• Learn the business and projects, understand construction role differences, and act as a trusted recruiting partner to leadership.
