Job summary

Schindler in Irvine is seeking a Field Supt MOD to lead field technicians during installation and modernization projects for hydraulic, gearless, and geared elevators. You will manage day-to-day field operations, ensure safety and quality standards, and help translate project scope into profitable execution.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree or 3 years of elevator-industry experience, strong written and verbal communication, and proficiency with MS Office, Lotus Notes, and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3 years of technical experience in the elevator industry or related field.
• Experience in installation and service of elevators/escalators preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience with a unionized workforce is preferred.
• Computer proficiency required. Experience in Microsoft Office suite software, Lotus Notes and SAP is preferred.
• Must have ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage field technicians in the day to day operations of the installation and modernization of hydraulic, gearless and geared elevators.
• Actively participate in field surveys for modernization projects and assist in preparation of modernization proposals and bids.
• Determine scope of work and manpower needed to complete projects on time and profitably.
• Lead a team environment and foster collaboration among technicians.
• Oversee training and development of field technicians on established processes and standards.
