Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation in Irvine, CA seeks a Field Superintendent MOD to lead field technicians through elevator modernization projects, including hydraulic, gearless and geared systems. You will participate in field surveys, prepare bids, and determine scope and manpower to complete jobs on time and profitably.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or 3 years in the elevator industry, strong communication skills, and proficiency with SAP and Lotus Notes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3 years in the elevator industry.
• Experience in installation and service of elevators/escalators preferred.
• Supervisory experience with a unionized workforce preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP and Lotus Notes preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage field technicians in installation and modernization projects.
• Lead field surveys and prepare modernization proposals and bids.
• Determine scope of work and manpower for timely, profitable completion.
• Develop training and lead field technician development on processes and standards.
• Maintain safety and quality standards per contract requirements and company policy.
• Support local sales in estimating bids and resolving customer complaints.
• Foster teamwork and dedication to quality among all employees.
